Description

The role of a plant breeder is to improve or ‘design’ varieties of plants, with the aim of influencing how they grow and strengthen their genetics. This may involve cross-breeding or genetic modification, carried out by selecting the most desirable qualities of certain varieties and producing new seeds that possess these traits.
