Michelle Barrett is a beef, canola and wheat producer from Munglinup, 100km west of Esperance. Together with her husband Kieran, they run Neds Corner Trading, a farm enterprise of 4700ha broad acre cropping with a herd of approximately 350 black angus cattle.
Michelle has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and is a passionate advocate for rural and regional communities and capacity building in the Australian agricultural sector.
Michelle is a former member of the Rural, Remote and Regional Womens Network, sits on the Australian Grain Institute (AGI) Council, which established the AGI Capacity Building Project. In February she was the first female to be elected to the role of Chair of the Cooperative Bulk Handling Growers Advisory Council. She is a member of the AICD and is a participant of the Director Pipeline Programme for 2017.
